Pledge Over Time - 2nd Payment!

Apologies this update is so late! We meant to post it on the 21st, but we had a good chunk of our team off, so this slipped through the cracks. So sorry about that!

We wanted to check in to let all the Pledge Over Time folks that they should have received notice for the second of three charges for their pledge over the past weekend. There will be one final payment after this on or around October 21st. Once those have been completed, we'll be sending surveys out to all Pledge Over Time backers. We expect that to happen on or around October 21st, as well.

Please be aware that the times mentioned above are estimates. We try to stick to them as much as possible, but sometimes it takes an extra day or two to move on to the next phase of the process.
 
Don't worry, we won't be taking the long way to fulfill this campaign. ;)

Non-Pledge Over Time Backers: Surveys Being Sent Out!

Hey there, folks!

Since the smoke test was a success, we'll be sending out surveys today! This only affects those who OPTED OUT for Pledge Over Time, as those payments should have just been completed! It may take a little bit for Backerkit to process they surveys being sent, maybe even a few days, so we appreciate your patience!

If you do not see your invite email show up by the end of the week, please take a look at the following:

  • Spam Folder: Survey emails can occasionally find their way to your spam folder. If you don't see anything come through from Backerkit check your spam folder first.
  • Apple ID Email Addresses: If the email address tied to your Kickstarter account is a secure Apple ID address, the survey email may be blocked entirely. The email addresses look something like this:  "[email protected]".  If you're not seeing the email from Backerkit, check to see if your email address looks like one of these. If it does, we recommend that you first change that email in Kickstarter so you avoid any future issues.
  • Once you've checked both of those things send us a message here or send an email to [email protected] to let us know what your updated email address is.

If you opted in for Pledge Over Time and are reading this update...

You will not receive your survey at this time. Your payments will still be processing for another couple of months. We will communicate via update when you should expect to receive yours!

If you are a Late-Pledge backer (you didn't back the project while the campaign was live)...

You will not receive a survey as all the necessary information we need is collected upon check-out!

Going Forward

Here is what you can expect in the coming months as we work on fulfilling this project.

  • First, please remember that we operate on a 15 month production and fulfillment schedule.
  • As we get all of the products made, you can expect to see an update from us one to two times a month. So stay tuned here for all the latest!
  • Once we have the products and are ready to start fulfillment, we will post an update and send an email giving everyone 48 hours to update their addresses if needed. Once that window closes, you will not be able to update your address yourself and will need to contact us directly to make those changes.
  • With addresses locked, we will start packing and shipping. This final step will take some time. We appreciate your patience. ❤️

There are 1-2 of us who monitor support emails. We'll introduce ourselves in a future update, but for the moment, we want to fill y'all in on our availability.

First, we work 8am-4pm EST, Monday-Friday, excluding all US Holidays. If you contact us via email ([email protected]), you can expect us to reply in 3-5 business days, though typically much sooner than that. 

NON PLEDGE OVER TIME BACKERS: This Update is for You! Survey Smoke Test!

Hi there folks!

This update is only for folks who did not opt in for Pledge Over Time.

We're just about ready to start sending out surveys to backers who did not opt-in for Pledge Over Time. The last piece of that process is what's called a 'smoke test'. To do this, we send out surveys to about 5% of backers to make sure everything in Backerkit is working as it should and that we haven't broken anything. We'll be conducting this test over the next couple of days, so those 5% of surveys will go out today. If everything goes well, you can expect the rest of the surveys to go out by Monday or Tuesday at the latest!

While we do that, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

  • Spam Folder: Survey emails can occasionally find their way to your spam folder. Once we announce that all surveys have gone out, if you don't see anything come through from Backerkit, check your spam folder first.
  • Apple ID Email Addresses: If the email address tied to your Kickstarter account is a secure Apple ID address, the survey email may be blocked entirely. You can try contacting Kickstarter support to change that, though we've seen backers have mixed results.
  • If either of the above situations is the case, or you can't find your email invite at all, please email [email protected] to let us know, and we'll get that straightened out for you. To expedite the process, please provide us with your name, backer number, or the AppleID email address so we can locate your account!
  • If you send us a message on Kickstarter, we may request that you send the message to our support email instead. Thank you.

Hey there, everyone!
 
You've really blown us out of the water with this campaign! We've been really liking these older works and we think you do, too! We weren't sure how this campaign would work out, but y'all have reassured us! In the final hours, you folks pushed our total raised past $148,000! We could not be more excited!
 
As a reminder: we blew past our $100k stretch goal, meaning Wraithmarked will be producing our very own version of The Iliad! This book will be a matching edition with The Odyssey! We're looking to launch the campaign for this book in later 2027 or 2028. Be on the lookout! <3
 

MOVING FORWARD...

Here is what you can expect in the coming weeks and months.
 
  • First, Kickstarter will begin processing payments for your pledges. That will take approximately 2 weeks. If you did not use Pledge Over Time, this will be the full amount of your pledge. If you opted to use Pledge Over Time, this will be the first 1/3rd of your total pledge.
  • If you opted OUT for Pledge Over Time, you will receive your survey on or around September 4th. If you opted IN for Pledge Over Time, your second payment will be on or around September 21st, followed by your third and final payment on or around October 21st. 
  • Once the final payment has been made for Pay Over Time backers, we will send out all remaining surveys to the email addresses you have attached to your Kickstarter account. We expect this to occur by or around October 21st.
  • Answer your survey questions and grab any extra Add-Ons you want. For those of you asking how to make your tier selections, you'll do that here. Due to the shipping beta test, shipping will be charged at this time.
  • As we get all of the products made, you can expect to see an update from us 1-2 times a month. So stay tuned here for all the latest!

TO REITERATE THE SHIPPING BETA TEST...

We've gotten a range of feedback over the last year about how to make our books more accessible to everyone, and one of the most common places we hear we could make a simple change is by charging shipping later, so there's an additional opportunity to split the product costs.

All shipping and handling fees will be processed on BackerKit when you fill out your backer survey, which will be sent out 2-3 weeks after the campaign ends.

THIS WILL NOT CHANGE THE SHIPPING COST. We have outlined what every item's shipping will be post-campaign below so you can account for it immediately!

Hey all! Bryce here! Thanks very, VERY much for your support on The Odyssey! It was awesome to be a part of, and we can't wait to bring you guys The Iliad in 2027 or 28!

As usual, this is just a quick flyby hello to let you know that more information about what to expect next is coming next week! It's just after hours here in the US (best time to end the campaign, we've found), so the people who do the actual work around here (not me) are off for a well-deserved weekend!

As always, we can not express how grateful we are that you guys allow us to do stuff like this on the monthly! Have a good weekend, and more info coming next week!
